Sorry for the extremely long post guys but I felt I needed to go into detail of these character’s backgrounds so we would have the proper knowledge about them when starting the RPG. For people with little info, this is on purpose. It allows us to take liberties with their background/character.
Notes: This is an Alternate Universe storyline. (Dubbed AU; A for Alternate, U for Universe; anyways…) The timeline has been slightly altered to allow certain characters to be present at the same time. The Yuuzan Vong War never took place, which means that Anakin Solo did not die during it. Also, the word apprentices is the plural form of apprentice. And the title of this thread has nothing to do with the books by the same name.
Luke Skywalker (with info on Kyp Durron towards the end)
Luke Skywalker, once a young, optimistic farm-boy, has now become the leader of the new Jedi Knights.
Luke Skywalker was born on the asteroid colony of Polis Massa shortly after the start of the Great Jedi Purge and the foundation of the Galactic Empire. Seconds after the birth of Luke's younger sister, Leia, Padmé Amidala died, effectively orphaning both children.
Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda knew the children, both Force-strong, had to be protected from the Emperor and their fallen father. Deciding it would be best if they were separated, the two Jedi Masters agreed to send the infant boy to live with his father's stepbrother, Owen Lars, and his wife, Beru, on Tatooine. Leia was sent to live under the protection of her newly-adopted parents, Bail and Breha Organa.
Kenobi himself took the infant to Tatooine, making the first leg of the journey in the Soulless One via Nar Shaddaa, then, selling the starfighter to buy passage to the homeworld of the Lars family. Intending to watch over Skywalker as he grew, Kenobi chose to go into hiding on Tatooine and live near the boy.
Biggs Darklighter was perhaps Skywalker's closest friend, whom he looked up to as a brother. Biggs left for the Academy in 1 BBY, much to Skywalker's pride, jealousy and dismay. As more of Skywalker's friends left the planet to follow their dreams, he became increasingly frustrated that his uncle would not allow him to leave, claiming that he still needed help with the farm. In truth Owen was trying to prevent Luke from following in his father's footsteps.

Insert Episode VI: Return of the Jedi here
As the Thrawn campaign began, rumors surfaced of a Jedi Master hidden on the remote world of Jomark. Skywalker investigated and discovered the insane Dark Jedi clone, Joruus C'baoth. Skywalker tried to persuade Joruus C'baoth to renounce the dark side. C'baoth's insanity and evil was too deeply rooted to undo, and in his bid to mold Skywalker into his new dark side pupil, C'baoth did the unthinkable. Using Skywalker's severed hand, recovered from Bespin by Imperial agents, C'baoth grew a clone of the young Jedi—Luuke Skywalker—and sent the mindless drone to kill Skywalker in Mount Tantiss on Wayland. Luke fought fiercely against his doppleganger, though it was ultimately Mara Jade who defeated C'baoth and the clone, in the process completing the last order the Emperor had given her.
The Thrawn crisis saw Skywalker and Jade spend a great deal of time together, and they slowly developed a relationship. A fiercely determined Force-sensitive warrior, Mara was once a deadly agent of Palpatine. She was one of the "Emperor's Hands", a deadly group of Dark Jedi who could hear the Emperor's call from across the galaxy. Jade held Skywalker responsible for the destruction of her career and purpose, and desired to kill him. Despite repeated opportunities, Jade did not kill Skywalker, and the two worked together to defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn and C'baoth. Jade, putting aside her hatred for him, developed a begrudging respect for Luke and his skills.
Although Grand Admiral Thrawn was defeated, his string of victories rallied the Imperial Remnant to stage a spectacular attack on the New Republic-held capital Coruscant. Whereas Thrawn wanted to capture the capital intact, these Imperials attacked without restraint and ravaged the once gleaming ecumenopolis. The Republic retreated and Skywalker commanded a number of missions into the Imperial-held world.
Stranded on Coruscant in 10 ABY, Skywalker began to discover strange clues in newly opened secret chambers throughout the former Imperial Palace, clues to the Emperor's power. Before he could piece together their significance, a raging Force storm appeared in the sky. The swirling vortex of dimension-altering energy consumed Skywalker, and deposited him in a cell aboard an Imperial Dungeon Ship bound for the Deep Core world of Byss. There, in an ornate citadel, Skywalker faced an enemy he had not ever expected to see again: Emperor Palpatine.
Palpatine's spirit had been staving away death by using arcane Sith knowledge and Spaarti cloning technology. Palpatine would grow clone duplicates of his own body to serve as tools for his evil life force should his body die. With this technique, Palpatine had escaped death aboard the second Death Star. He called for Skywalker to kneel before him and become his servant. Skywalker, realizing that the Emperor was almost invincible, knelt before him, and agreed to join the Dark Side. Like a few others in recorded history, he believed he could defeat the dark side from within by learning its secrets. He had neglected one of Yoda's key teachings—never underestimate the power of the dark side.
Skywalker worked for the light side in the shadows just like Quinlan Vos had during the Clone Wars. And just like that Jedi Master, he found he was unable to break away from its snare once he was immersed too deeply in it. On one failed attempt to rebel against his master, Luke marched into the cloning laboratory and smashed all of the cloning tanks. But before he could finish the job, the Emperor transferred his spirit into his last clone. Luke then engaged him in a spectacular lightsaber duel. But even Luke's skills alone weren't enough. Palpatine managed to defeat Luke in their first duel.
During this dark apprenticeship, Luke acquired two sentinels, clones mutated into his Dark Side servants. Though he succeeded in covertly sabotaging several of Palpatine's plans including a World Devastator attack on Mon Calamari, he was too deep in darkness to think clearly. However, with the help of his sister Leia, Luke was able to fight back the darkness before it consumed him and turn against his master. Skywalker defeated Sidious in single combat, and together with his twin sister, they eventually managed to destroy the body Palpatine inhabited at the time, turning his immense Force storm against him.
Now a Jedi Master, Luke Skywalker felt that, due to the growing dangers in the galaxy, the New Republic needed a New Jedi Order to serve and protect the galaxy. He proposed to the government that a new Jedi Academy needed to be started, with himself as its head instructor. The New Republic agreed, and Skywalker began searching in earnest for Jedi candidates to train in the Great Massassi Temple on Yavin 4 where he established his Jedi Praxeum.
Shortly after establishing his Praxeum, Luke's new students were menaced by an age old threat. Skywalker encountered the lingering spirit of Exar Kun in the Massassi Temple, who tempted one of Luke's students- Gantoris -with the allure of dark-side power. Gantoris built his own dual-phase lightsaber and dueled with Luke. Luke won and dismissed Gantoris's construction of a lightsaber independent from his teaching as nothing to worry about. However, Exar Kun later horrifically killed Gantoris, burning him inside and out with the power of the dark side. Luke consulted with Keiran Halcyon on Gantoris's death, but before he could complete his investigation, Luke was distracted with new students. One of them was Mara Jade, who still maintained a tenuous friendship at best with Luke. She left not long after arriving, feeling she knew most of what Luke was teaching. However, Luke spent much attention on another new arrival, Kyp Durron, who had been rescued from Kessel and Imperial imprisonment by Han Solo and Chewbacca. Kyp was prodigiously talented in the Force and made great progress, but it was not long before Exar Kun tempted him with more power. Kyp gave in to the allure of the dark side, and exhibited pro-Kun leanings on more than one occasion. Again, Luke mostly ignored this behavior, despite Kun's spirit approaching him under the guise of his father. One morning, Kyp, full of the dark side and imbued by the power of Exar Kun, attacked Luke. Combined with the ancient power of the powerful Sith, Kyp managed to sunder Luke's spirit from his body, leaving Luke in a lifeless coma. Kyp took off in the newly retrieved Sun Crusher superweapon to attack the Empire, but Exar Kun wanted nothing less than Luke's total destruction. Many attempts-- from a full New Republic medical team to the child's kiss of his niece --were tried to bring Luke back, but they were unsuccessful. Luke's nephew and niece arrived, and Luke's spirit was able to communicate with them, although not with any of the others. Not long after, Kun's spirit sent hideous monsters to attack Luke's body again. Luke, guiding the hand of young Jacen Solo, called on Jacen to use Luke's lightsaber. Other apprentices observed the young Solo dueling like a master swordsman. The spectral Kun was eventually rousted from hiding, led into a trap and destroyed by the combined efforts of the Jedi apprentices, Luke's spirit, and the long-dead spirit of Kun's slain master, Vodo-Siosk Baas.
When Kyp Durron was brought to Luke for judgment for his destruction of Carida and other atrocities, Luke allowed Kyp to live, saying his punishment was a life of service.
While on Nirauan during the Caamas Document incident, Luke's relationship with Mara Jade grew, and their mission culminated in Luke's proposal of marriage to the former Emperor's Hand. She accepted.
Around a decade after their initial hostile encounter, Skywalker and Jade were married on Coruscant in two ceremonies—a private one held at the Jedi Headquarters, and a second, public ceremony almost ruined by the appearance of Imperial agitators. Luke was able to talk the ringleader around, while his friends dealt with the remaining infiltrators, and the wedding continued smoothly.
Mara Jade
Mara Jade Skywalker was a female Human of many talents. She was, during different times in her life, an Emperor's Hand, a smuggler and later a Jedi Master.
As an Emperor's Hand, she received Palpatine's last command to kill Luke Skywalker, but instead allied with her enemy and defeated the insane clone Joruus C'baoth. Later on, after a period of separation, the two fell in love and married in 19 ABY.
Mara officially joined the New Jedi Order and was eventually promoted to Jedi Master. She became a driving force in the Jedi and was always there to help out the apprentices.
Tionne Soulstar
Tionne grew up with the tales of Jedi lore her grandmother related to her, but when her grandmother was killed by Imperial stormtroopers for relating said tales, Tionne fled the planet, taking her grandmother's double viol with her.
While searching for more information on the Jedi on Exis Station, Tionne encountered Luke Skywalker. Sensing that Tionne was not very strong in the Force but seeing potential in her, Luke invited her to join his budding Jedi Academy on Yavin 4.
Despite the fact that her powers were limited, Tionne worked hard and attained the rank of Jedi Knight. She spent nearly a year searching for the spiral mist-horn and crystal-pearl that she then used to construct her lightsaber.
Tionne's role was that of Jedi historian, and she would often teach the trainees stories of ancient Jedi through singing while accompanying herself with her grandmother's instrument. Her knowledge contributed in the research of the Scepter of Ragnos and tracing Tavion.
Kyle Katarn, Jaden Korr, and Rosh Penin
Kyle Katarn, a leading member of the Jedi, has faced many trials in his life. Kyle grew up in the Imperial Age. He was born and raised on the Sullust moon of Sulon. He began attending the Imperial Academy after his mother was killed by a malfunctioning droid. He remembered his father Morgan’s words well "I want you to remember, while you're at the academy, how very proud of you I am.” He served well in the Imperial Fleet, but then got word of bad news from home. His father was killed by Rebel insurgents on his home world. He then grew a deep hatred for the Rebellion. It wasn’t until later, when a Rebel Merc named Jan Ors showed him footage of the battle in which the Imperials staged the whole thing, that he defected from the Empire, becoming a Mercenary for-hire by the Rebellion.
Kyle worked well for the Rebellon, even stealing part of the first Death Star’s plans. He also completely destroyed the Dark Trooper Project. One year after the Battle of Endor the spirit of a dead Jedi, Qu Rahn, visited Kyle and told him of his Jedi heritage. He explained to Kyle that his father Morgan had found the legendary “Valley of the Jedi”. This site was a nexus of power from which Force-sensitives could draw great energies of the Force. Morgan Katarn kept the information to himself, only telling Qu Rahn the location. Kyle went back to his home to find a holo-recording of his father and an old lightsaber in his old house droid, Emdee. This started Kyle on the path of becoming a Jedi. Unfornately, a Dark Jedi named Jerec and his followers had also discovered the location of the Valley. Jerec’s followers were: Maw, Gore and Pic, Boc, Sariss, Boc, and Yun. Kyle defeated all of them in combat on different worlds. During one of the battles his ship, The Moldy Crow, was destroyed. He then took on Jerec in the Valley itself. Jerec was already drawing power from the Valley, but Kyle still found a way to defeat him.
Five years after the defeat of Jerec, Kyle took an apprentice, Mara Jade. While exploring some Sith ruins, Kyle fell under the influence of the dark side. Mara nearly fell as well trying to redeem him. After that incident Mara left Kyle and he decided to take up Luke Skywalker’s offer to join him at the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin IV. There he built his own lightsaber. (His was destroyed during the Jerec fiasco and he has been using Yun’s lightsaber ever since.) Kyle developed a deep friendship with another person at the academy, Corran Horn. But when two students fell to the influence of the dark side Kyle feared succumbing to it again. He severed his connection with the force, leaving his lightsaber with Luke, he resumed his mercenary work with his long time pilot and partner, Jan Ors.
During a merc. run Kyle and Jan were sent to shut down a Remnant mining facility. Although Kyle successfully infiltrated and shut down the outpost, Jan was later captured and apparently killed by the Dark Jedi Desann and his student Tavion.
Angered by his partner's death, Kyle regained his Force powers by using the power of the Valley of the Jedi and once again treading dangerously close to the dark side. He went to the Jedi Academy to retrieve the lightsaber he had left with Skywalker, where he learned that Desann was a fallen student of Luke's. Luke and Kyle then set out across the Galaxy to bring Desann to justice. During his travels, he learned that Jan was still alive. She was eventually rescued, which allowed Kyle to overcome his thirst for revenge. Eventually he learned that Desann had discovered the Valley of the Jedi by following Kyle and had begun to create an army of Dark Jedi warriors called the Reborn to rule the Galaxy. Kyle tracked Desann back to the Jedi Academy on Yavin 4, and after an intense duel, killed him, ending his plan for domination.
After Desann's defeat, Kyle kept his lightsaber and continued in the ways of the Force as an instructor and Jedi Master at Luke's Academy. Kyle became the master of two students, Jaden Korr and Rosh Penin. Both students were talented, quickly learning through Kyle's wisdom. However, a new threat, the Dark Jedi cult known as the Disciples of Ragnos, began threatening the Galaxy. Rosh eventually succumbed to the dark side and joined the Disciples of Ragnos. Kyle again met Tavion, who was the leader of the cult. She possessed a device known as the Scepter of Ragnos and planned to resurrect the ancient Sith Lord Marka Ragnos.
Kyle's other student, Jaden, eventually became a Jedi, who redeemed Rosh, and defeated Tavion. Kyle was proud of his students. Kyle became the academy's foremost battlemaster. After the Ragnos incident, he took on two new apprentices, Tahiri Veila and Anakin Solo. Jaden and Rosh now work together as a team of Jedi Knights, and they are unequaled in cooperative combat.
Tahiri Veila
Born on Tatooine to a pair of moisture farmers and adopted by the leader of a Tusken Raider tribe, Tahiri was raised as a Tusken Raider and showed skill in the Force. Around 22 ABY, Tahiri was discovered by Jedi Master Tionne Solusar and was brought to the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4. It was at the Praxeum that she met Anakin Solo, with whom she became fast friends and shared many adventures.
Anakin Solo
Anakin Solo is the youngest child of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo. He has two elder siblings: his sister, Jaina, and his brother, Jacen. Anakin was named for his maternal grandfather, Anakin Skywalker, and like his namesake, is prodigiously talented in the Force, a gifted pilot, and a skilled mechanic.
Corran Horn
Another key member of the Jedi is Corran Horn. For most of his life, Corran grew up believing that he was the grandson of Rostek Horn, and the son of Valin "Hal" Horn and Nyche Horn. Corran followed their footsteps by joining the Corellian Security Force (CorSec) and dedicating himself to law enforcement. He entered the CorSec Academy at the age of eighteen. Corran had always had hunches and instincts; these turned out to be early manifestations of Corran's latent Force abilities. He and his father worked together until the Trandoshan bounty hunter Bossk murdered Hal Horn.
About two years after leaving Corellia, Corran Horn joined Rogue Squadron. He was the roommate of Ooryl Qrygg. He did well enough during training that he was promoted to Lieutenant and given command of the squadron's Three Flight. His promotion came after he was the only potential Rogue to manage to beat the Redemption Scenario (also known as Requiem). Corran's call sign was Rogue Nine. He excelled in a number of early missions and was instrumental in the taking of the planet Borleias, which opened the way for the invasion of Coruscant.
At the celebration party on Coruscant (after it was liberated) following Corran's return to Rogue Squadron (he was captured by the Imperials for a short time), Corran met Luke Skywalker for the first time. Luke had examined the closed portion of the museum and learned that Corran was actually the grandson of Jedi Master Nejaa Halcyon, who had died after the Clone Wars, and that Rostek Horn married his grandmother and adopted Hal to protect them from the Empire's Jedi hunters. Luke invited Corran to train with him to become a Jedi Knight, which Corran declined because he felt it was his duty to aid Rogue Squadron in what would appear to be their next mission: apprehending Ysanne Isard and rescuing the prisoners still aboard the Lusankya. When Borsk Fey'lya made it clear that this would not be allowed, Corran and his fellow pilots resigned their New Republic commissions en masse to wage a personal war with Isard, becoming a true 'Rogue' Squadron.
The squadron moved to the Yag-prime space station in orbit around Yag'Dhul. Over the next several months, they fought a war against Ysanne Isard and the Xucphra Corporation. Due to some fancy legal footwork by supporters in the New Republic, as well as a ready supply of credits from Tycho Celchu, the group was able to privately finance their campaign. Eventually they were able to eliminate the Imperial military defenses over Thyferra. The Lusankya was captured in the process, and Isard was thought to have died. Iella Wessiri and Elscol Loro helped stage an uprising that helped free the planet. The prisoners on the Lusankya were not found; apparently they had been shipped out several months prior. Corran and the rest of the squadron rejoined the New Republic, and Corran and Mirax Terrik married.
Note: Most of these names here are unimportant. The only one you need to remember is Mirax.
Over the next few years, Corran and Mirax continued to battle the Imperial Remnant. Corran fought against Grand Admiral Thrawn’s fleet in several engagements. After Thrawn's defeat, he was finally able to fulfill his promise and free the remaining prisoners of Lusankya. During the operation to rescue the prisoners, the Rogues learn that Ysanne Isard hadn't died on Thyferra, but had survived and tasked a clone of her to disperse the prisoners. In the ensuing battle, the Rogues were able to kill the clone, and Iella Wessiri killed Isard during an attempt to pirate the newly-restored Lusankaya.
Corran and Mirax had a home on Coruscant. When the resurrected Emperor Palpatine returned to helm the Empire, Coruscant became a battlefield. Debris from the conflicts above devastated vast swaths of the city, including the Horn family home. Luckily, none of the family was in residence at the time.
In 11 ABY Mirax Terrik was captured by roving warlord Leonia Tavira's Invids pirate group, who were seemingly invincible in battle. To find her, Corran began studying the ways of the Force. He enrolled in Luke Skywalker's Jedi academy on Yavin 4 under the alias Kieran Halcyon, who was an ancestor of his grandfather Nejaa Halcyon. Corran played a message left by his father which told him more about his Jedi heritage. After Mirax's death in an attempted rescue, Luke offered Corran his Knighthood, and Corran stayed on to teach others in the ways of the force. He took on the apprentices Jacen and Jaina Solo. Corran was forever scarred by the death of his wife. They had no children.
Jacen Solo
Jacen Solo was the eldest son of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, the younger twin of Jaina and the brother of Anakin. Even before he and his sister were born, their uncle Luke Skywalker could sense their strong presence in the Force and the two shared an inseparable mental bond. Jacen showed immaculate Force powers as an infant when he helped his uncle and his uncle's students defeat the spirit of Exar Kun. Jacen had always been an empathetic person, forming close bonds with Humans and animals alike. He eventually developed an affinity and sensitivity towards nature and the Living Force which may have been why his father Han could not possibly understand his son and why he had gotten along better with his mother.
He started his formal Jedi training years later at his uncle's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4. He excelled as one of the best students, getting into many adventures with his friends Kyp Durron, Tahiri Veila, and his siblings.
Jaina Solo
Jaina Solo was the eldest child of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, and was named after her paternal grandmother. She had two brothers, Jacen and Anakin. Like her father, uncle and maternal grandfather, Jaina was a talented mechanic and pilot from a young age.
Even before she and her brother were born, their uncle, Luke Skywalker, could sense their strong presence in the Force and the two shared an inseparable mental bond. Jaina started her Jedi training at the age of thirteen with her twin brother at her uncle's Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4. As her training progressed, Jaina would go through many trials as a teenager and as an adult, learning harsh lessons about life and the galaxy in general.
That’s all folks, I know this was a lot but I think we are ready to start now.
